
In The Living Goddess Tradition one worship Sakti (Power), that
is, God in Mother-form as the Supreme Power, which creates, sustains and
withdraws the Universe. God is Mother to all and most Hindus, worships Her Lotus
Feet.
Within the last 1,500 years the Goddess Worship Tradition has
been extinguished almost everywhere on earth where male dominated religion
existed. The only culture that survived this extinction is India where the
Mother of the Universe is still worshipped today as she was throughout the world
for most of human history. Not only do they worship the Divine Mother of
creation in temples or shrines they also worship and respect the Mother of the
Home, as the embodied form of Goddess Lakshmi.
Shaktism is acclaimed as the great Sadhana Shastra, a practical
manual, we find the great discipline of knowledge, Maha Vidyas occupying and
important part. Where the supreme is adored as the Great Primordial Goddess,
classifies the disciplines leading to the cardinal Deities as dasa Maha Vidyas,
the ten paths of knowledge. This deities are the ten outstanding personalities

We are one of the few temples in India who still perform regular Yajnas (fire
ritual) the most powerful tool to heal all physical and emotional related
illness other then sound. Due to the cost most temples have given up the
practice of performing Yajnas, except when sponsored or on very special occasion
Worshiping the Great Goddess must follow with worshiping the Mother of the home,
then the worship will produce better result. When worshiping the Feet of the
Divine Feminine within the home (one’s partner), one has to perceive Her as
Mother Lakshmi of the householder. She is the light of the home. She is the
supreme authority of the home.
There is no Sakti without Siva and no Siva without Sakthi. They are inseparable
like the moon and moonlight. Siva and Sakthi are inseparable, so to should men
and women, be inseparable. It is through this unity that we can bring harmony to
this Earth. Let us together build this world to be a beautiful place to live in,
through Sakthi Worship.
When we speak of Goddess worship, Mother Kali followed with Mother Maha
Tripurasundari, to be worshiped as the Mother residing in our Crown
Chakra. Both of them are two of the Maha Vidyas, and at IFC we offer puja to the
Meru (a 3D Sri Chakra), but with Mother Kali, Matangi and Kamalatmika, we have a
full size statues of them plus the Meru.
Mother Maha Tripurasundari, the absolute, the all pervading, beyond speech and
mind and even beyond time and space.
True Shaktism, is the worship in and by the mind through the use of Yantra,
Mantra and forms. Form is born of the Yantra, and the form is awakened by
Mantra-Sakti. Each mantra is the embodiment of a particular form of
Consciousness or Sakti. It is the eternal Sakti who is the life of mantra.
The mula-mantra or root or core mantra, of Mother Tripurasundari has 15 letters.

This mantra consisting of three groups peaks. When saying this mantra one has to
create peaks of 5 -6 -4.
Her Yantra is the Sri Chakra. Now we come to the question of who can worship the
Yantra.
Sri Chakra can be worshiped in a home as a holy article, or can kept without
worship. It can be worshiped periodically when one desires to invoke her energy
within. One can also worship the Sri Chakra daily, regularly or irregularly, or
when ever one so pleases. It is a very personal journey between oneself and
Mother within.
Just as a deity takes its abode in the center of the Yantra along with all its
devata's, so also you and a group of friends can sit around the Sri Yantra in
the form of a Mandala and worship it. The Sri Yantra can be engraved on a copper
sheet or drawn on paper.
In Shaktism, it is repeatedly said that one is to adore the Goddess by becoming
a Goddess. The divine Mother is the very self, our Atman, and not separate from
it. At the end of every worship couples must worship each other.
Sri Yantra is not only the abort of the Divine Mother, but also all her powers
and personalities. Mother Maha Tripurasundari rules the three sets chakra in the
Sri Yantra and all the triplets in the Universe. Lalita ( the Mother of Grace)
Rajarajesvari (Divine Supreme) and Jagadamba ( Mother of the whole universe)
Mother Maha Tripurasundari is the Supreme Sakti, or Parabrahman and her Yantra
is Sri Chakra.
"Sri" is a prefix added to name of deities or person to denote auspiciousness or
holiness.
A mantra which consists of more than 12 letters, pertains to a Sakthi or female
deity is called Vidya, and not a simple or an ordinary Mantra. Mother Maha
Tripurasundari's mantra is Sri Vidya
In the practice of Shaktism there are 10 important Vidya, and the Sri-Vidya is
one amongst them and is considered the supreme, since it bestows fruits which
all other vidya's put together could bestow separately.
Where there is worldly enjoyment there is no Moksha, where there is Moksha there
is no worldly enjoyment. For those who meditate on Mother Tripurasundari, there
is worldly enjoyment as well as Moksha near at hand.
